Are quotes really free?

Yes — free and without obligation. Send your postcode and a description (photos help) through the quote form, or call us. Many jobs can be priced from photos and a look on satellite view; larger or unusual jobs get a visit at a time that suits you.

Is the price fixed once you have quoted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The price on your written quote is the price you pay, provided the job is as described. If we find something unexpected on the day — for example a hidden second layer of moss or a surface that needs a different method — we stop and talk to you before doing anything extra.

Do you charge for travel?

Accepted Answer

No. We are based in Bordon and cover the Hampshire–Surrey borders as our normal working area. For the outer edges of our area we group jobs together on the same day, which is why quotes are the same wherever you are.

Question 4

Is it cheaper to have several things done at once?

Accepted Answer

Almost always. Once the equipment is set up at your property, adding a gutter clear to a roof clean or a path to a driveway costs far less than a separate visit. Tell us everything you are thinking about and we will quote it as a package.

How can I pay?

Accepted Answer

Bank transfer or card on completion, with an invoice sent by email or text. Regular window cleaning customers are invoiced after each visit.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Accepted Answer

Typically one to three weeks depending on the season; spring and early autumn are busiest. Gutter clears and window cleans can often be fitted in sooner. If you have a deadline such as a house sale or a party, tell us and we will do our best.

Do I need to be at home?

Accepted Answer

Not usually. We need access to the areas being cleaned and an outside tap. Many customers leave a side gate unlocked and we send photos when the work is done.

What do you need from me on the day?

Accepted Answer

Access, an outside tap and, for driveway or patio work, cars and garden furniture moved off the surface. We bring everything else, including our own power.

What happens if it rains?

Accepted Answer

Most of our work carries on in light rain — pure-water window cleaning and gutter clearing are unaffected. Sealing needs a dry surface and a dry forecast, and roof work stops in high winds or heavy rain for safety. We will always call if we need to move a date.

Will you leave a mess?

No. Moss, debris and waste are bagged and taken away, surfaces are rinsed down, and we walk the job with you (or photograph it) before we leave.

Why don't you pressure wash everything?

Accepted Answer

Because pressure damages most of the surfaces on a house. Roof tiles, render, brick, timber and uPVC are all harmed by high pressure, which is why we scrape, soft wash, steam or use pure water on them. Pressure washing is reserved for surfaces designed to take it — block paving, concrete, porcelain and stone at the correct setting.

Are the cleaning products safe for my garden and pets?

We pre-wet and protect planting, rinse thoroughly and use the minimum effective dilution of any treatment. Keep pets and children off treated surfaces until they are dry and we will tell you exactly how long that is.

Question 13

What does City & Guilds accreditation mean?

Accepted Answer

It means we have been formally trained and assessed in exterior cleaning methods, the safe handling of the products we use and working at height. It is the difference between someone who owns a pressure washer and someone who understands what it will do to your render.

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Fully. We carry public liability insurance for every job and are happy to send a copy of the certificate before you book.

Do you work at height safely?

Accepted Answer

Wherever possible we work from the ground with water-fed poles and gutter vacuums. Where roof access is genuinely required we use roof ladders, towers or platforms and the appropriate fall protection — never a ladder leaned against a gutter.

Will everything look perfect on the day?

Driveways, patios, windows and gutters look finished the moment we leave. Soft-washed render, roofs and brick are different: the growth is killed on the day and the staining continues to fade for several weeks as it weathers away. We explain this before we start so there are no surprises.

How long do results last?

It depends on the surface and how shaded it is. Sealed driveways stay clean for years; treated roofs and render typically stay clear for several years; windows and gutters are best kept up with a regular schedule. We will give you honest guidance for your property.

Do you offer maintenance plans?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Regular window rounds, annual gutter clears and periodic roofline or render maintenance can be scheduled so you never have to think about it. Regular customers also get priority booking.

What if I am not happy with something?

Tell us within 24 hours of the clean and we will come back the next working day to put it right, free of charge. We would much rather do that than have you quietly disappointed — the details are in our Terms & Conditions.

Probably. For larger jobs and commercial work we travel further, and we regularly take on work a little beyond the towns listed. Send your postcode and we will let you know straight away.
