Full hand scrape and biocide treatment on a heavily shaded concrete tile roof.
Twenty years of growth under beech trees had covered the north slope in moss several centimetres deep. Scraped by hand from a tower, bagged and removed, gutters cleared and the whole roof treated. The photos were taken on completion and six weeks later.
Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal
Soft wash of red and green algae on three-year-old silicone render.
North- and east-facing elevations had turned orange and green. A single low-pressure soft-wash treatment killed the growth on the day and the render returned to its original off-white over the following fortnight.

Twenty-year-old block paving with moss and weeds in every joint and an oil stain by the garage. Cleaned, oil treated, re-sanded with kiln-dried sand and sealed two days later once dry.

A shaded deck that had become dangerous in the wet. Treated, cleaned at reduced pressure with a fan jet and rinsed; the customer oiled it the following weekend.

Green algae and a century of grime on soft brick. Steam cleaning lifted the dirt without disturbing the lime pointing; a soft-wash treatment followed to slow regrowth.

The original sealer had worn through and the colour had faded to grey. Cleaned, allowed to dry, then re-sealed with a Smartseal imprinted concrete sealer that brought the terracotta colour back.

A north-facing front path and steps under a hedge had become a slip hazard. Treated and cleaned in a morning, with the brick garden wall done at the same time.

We avoid the trick of shooting the before in shade and the after in sunshine. Overcast is fine; consistency matters.
Soft-washed render and roofs keep improving after we leave, so we photograph those again a few weeks on.
