Plain-English detail on what we collect when you get in touch, why we need it, and how we look after it.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

1.Who we are

MC6 Exterior Cleaning ("MC6", "we", "us") is an exterior cleaning business based in Bordon, Hampshire, providing services across the Hampshire and Surrey borders. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

You can contact us about anything in this policy by emailing contact@mc6exteriorcleaning.com, calling 07342 875835 or writing to us at 8 Rivermeade, Bordon, Hampshire GU35 0HQ.

2.What information we collect

We only collect the information we need to respond to your enquiry and carry out the work you ask us to do. Depending on how you contact us, this may include:

  • Your name, phone number and email address.
  • Your postcode and, once a job is booked, your property address.
  • The details of your enquiry — what you would like cleaned, property information and any access notes.
  • Photographs you send us of your property, and photographs we take before and after our work.
  • Records of quotes, bookings, invoices and payments.
  • Correspondence with us by email, phone, text or through the website forms.

We do not ask for, and please do not send, any special category data (for example health information) unless it is genuinely relevant to how we should carry out the work at your property.

3.How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
  • Plan, schedule and carry out the work, including routing our team to your property.
  • Send confirmations, reminders, invoices and completion photographs.
  • Keep records for accounting, insurance and warranty purposes.
  • Contact you about maintenance visits you have asked us to schedule (for example annual gutter clears).
  • Improve our services and this website.

We will not add you to a marketing list or send you newsletters unless you have specifically asked us to, and you can opt out at any time by replying or emailing us.

4.Our lawful basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Contract — to prepare a quote you have requested and to perform the work you book.
  • Legitimate interests — to run our business efficiently, keep accurate records, respond to enquiries and maintain the security of this website.
  • Legal obligation — to keep financial records for the periods required by HMRC.
  • Consent — where you have opted in to any optional communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5.Website forms and email delivery

The quote and contact forms on this website are delivered securely to our business inbox via Resend. The information you enter is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection and used solely to deliver your message to us.

Each form includes anti-spam protections. Each form also asks you to confirm that you agree to our Terms & Conditions, and a note of that confirmation is recorded with your enquiry. No account is created and no advertising profile is built from your submission.

Tip: photographs help us quote accurately, but only send images of the property surfaces — please avoid including people, vehicle registrations or documents.

6.Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate, such as our form-handling service, email provider, accounting software and website hosting (Vercel).
  • Our insurers, if a claim or incident relates to work at your property.
  • Professional advisers such as our accountant, where necessary.
  • Authorities, where we are required to by law.

Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

7.Cookies and analytics

This website is built as a static site and does not set tracking cookies or use advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may collect anonymised performance and error information to keep the site running reliably. If we introduce analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

8.How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become a booking: up to 12 months, so we can respond if you come back to us.
  • Quotes, bookings, invoices and job photographs: 6 years after the work, to meet HMRC record-keeping requirements and support any insurance or warranty matters.
  • Regular-customer schedules: for as long as you remain a customer, then as above.

When information is no longer needed it is securely deleted.

9.Your rights

You have the right to ask us to:

  • Provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your information where we no longer need it.
  • Restrict or object to how we use it.
  • Provide your information to you or another provider in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@mc6exteriorcleaning.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

10.Security

Your information is stored in password-protected, reputable cloud services with two-factor authentication. Access is limited to the people who need it to respond to you or carry out your work. This website is served over HTTPS.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
