Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all quotes given and work carried out by MC6 Exterior Cleaning ("MC6", "we", "us") of 8 Rivermeade, Bordon, Hampshire GU35 0HQ. By accepting a quote you agree to them. They are written to be fair and clear; if anything is unclear, ask before you book and we will explain.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

• Quotes are free and without obligation. They are valid for 30 days from the date given.
• A quote is a fixed price for the work described in it, based on the information and photographs you provide and, where applicable, our visit.
• If on arrival the job is materially different from what was described (for example additional surfaces, a much heavier build-up or restricted access), we will discuss this with you before doing anything that would change the price. You may decline the extra work.
• There are no travel charges within our standard service area.
• Prices include VAT where applicable and are stated on the quote.

To carry out the work we need:

• Access to the areas being cleaned, including side gates unlocked on the day.
• A working outside tap. Our vehicles carry their own power and, for pure-water work, their own water.
• Vehicles, garden furniture, pots and other movable items cleared from surfaces being cleaned, unless we have agreed to move them.
• Windows and doors closed and pets kept indoors while treatments are applied.

If we cannot carry out the work on the day because access has not been provided, we may charge a reasonable call-out fee to cover our time and travel, and will rebook at the next available date.

Most of our work continues in light rain. Sealing requires a dry surface and a dry forecast, and roof or high-level work stops in high winds or heavy rain for safety. If weather prevents work we will contact you as early as possible and offer the next suitable date. No charge is made for weather-related rescheduling.

We use the method appropriate to each surface and will tell you before we start what result to expect. In particular:

• Soft-washed surfaces (render, roofs, brick) improve over days or weeks after treatment as dead growth weathers away. This is normal and not a defect.
• Some staining is permanent — for example deep oil stains in unsealed concrete, UV yellowing of old uPVC, or etching in glass — and cannot be removed by cleaning. We will point this out where we can see it.
• Cleaning reveals the true condition of a surface. Pre-existing defects such as cracked tiles, failed pointing or perished sealant are not caused by cleaning and are not covered by these terms.
• Sealing results depend on the surface being fully dry; we will not apply sealer to a surface that fails our moisture check.

If you are not satisfied with any part of the work, tell us within 24 hours of the clean and we will return the next working day to put it right at no charge (see Complaints below).

We protect planting, glass and adjacent surfaces before applying treatments, and rinse thoroughly afterwards. We remove all debris and waste generated by our work. Where we are asked to use ladders or access equipment against a property we do so with care, but we recommend telling us about any fragile items, loose fittings or recent repairs beforehand.

• No deposit is required for standard residential work. For large projects we may agree a deposit in the quote.
• Payment is due on completion of the work, by bank transfer or card. An invoice is sent by email or text.
• Regular window cleaning customers are invoiced after each visit.
• Commercial customers may be offered monthly invoicing with 14-day terms, as stated in their proposal.
• We may charge statutory interest on overdue invoices.

• You may cancel or move a booking free of charge with at least 48 hours' notice.
• For consumer bookings made at a distance (by phone, email or through this website) you have a statutory 14-day cancellation period. If you ask us to carry out the work within that period and then cancel, you may be asked to pay for work already completed.
• We may cancel or reschedule for safety, weather or unforeseen circumstances and will give as much notice as possible.

We hold public liability insurance and will provide a copy of the certificate on request. We are responsible for damage caused by our negligence. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, for the consequences of information you did not tell us about (such as hidden cables or fragile fittings), or for losses that were not foreseeable when the work was booked. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

We will always try to provide you with the best possible service every time we clean your windows and exterior surfaces. If for any reason you are not satisfied with our work, you must contact us within 24 hours of the clean. We will then return the next working day to re-clean your windows for free and resolve your exterior cleaning issues. Please note that complaints made after 24 hours may not be re-cleaned.

Please note we operate a no-refund policy: we will rectify work you are not happy with free of charge, provided we are informed within 24 hours of the clean date.
