About this service
A freshly cleaned driveway or patio starts getting dirty the day it dries. Sealing is how you make the result last. A quality sealer binds the jointing sand, closes the pores that oil and grime soak into, and creates a surface that moss and weeds find very hard to colonise.
MC6 is a Smartseal Registered Installer, which means we have been trained to prepare surfaces and apply Smartseal products correctly — the right sealer for the surface, the right moisture content, the right coverage, and a finish that is even from edge to edge.
Part of Driveways & Patios. Rotary surface cleaning for driveways, patios, paths and decking, followed by re-sanding and optional Smartseal sealing so the finish lasts and the weeds stay away.

Why it matters
Why sealing is worth it
- 01
Unsealed block paving loses its jointing sand every winter, and weeds fill the gaps.
- 02
Imprinted concrete fades and goes dull without a sealer to protect the colour.
- 03
Oil and tannin stains soak straight into porous stone and concrete.
- 04
A sealed surface is easier to keep clean, and re-cleaning is quicker and cheaper.

How we do it
Our smartseal sealing process
- 01
Clean and dry
The surface is cleaned first (see driveway and patio cleaning) and left to dry fully — usually a day or two in fair weather.
- 02
Re-sand
Block paving joints are refilled with kiln-dried sand so the sealer can bind them.
- 03
Seal
Smartseal sealer is applied evenly in the right conditions — dry, mild and with no rain forecast.
- 04
Cure
The surface stays clear of foot and vehicle traffic until cured, then it is ready for years of easier upkeep.
State-of-the-art equipment
The kit that makes it safe and thorough
Smartseal sealers
Block paving, imprinted concrete and natural stone sealers in matt, silk, gloss and colour-enhanced finishes.
Moisture meter
Confirms the surface is dry enough for a proper bond — the step most non-registered installers skip.
Low-pressure sprayer and rollers
For even coverage without pooling or streaks.
Benefits
What smartseal sealing does for your property
Stops weeds and moss
Bound sand and closed pores give growth nowhere to take hold.
Stain resistance
Oil, leaves and drinks wash off rather than soaking in.
Colour enhancement
Optional colour-enhancing finishes bring out the tones of stone and imprinted concrete.
Registered installer
Correct product, correct preparation, correct application.
Honest expectations. We will always tell you before we start if a surface has damage that cleaning cannot fix — cracked tiles, failed pointing, UV-yellowed plastic — so there are no surprises on the day.
FAQs
Smartseal Sealing questions
Typically three to five years for driveways and longer for patios, depending on traffic and the product. Re-sealing a maintained surface is quick and inexpensive.
