About this service
The driveway is the first thing everyone sees and the last thing most people clean. Block paving fills with weeds and moss along every joint, imprinted concrete goes dull and slippery, tarmac greens over in the shade, and the whole thing quietly knocks value off the house.
We clean driveways with a commercial pressure washer and a rotary surface cleaner that gives an even, stripe-free finish across the whole surface. Joints are re-sanded with kiln-dried sand, oil stains are treated separately, and as a Smartseal Registered Installer we can seal the finished drive so weeds, moss and stains struggle to return.
Part of Driveways & Patios. Rotary surface cleaning for driveways, patios, paths and decking, followed by re-sanding and optional Smartseal sealing so the finish lasts and the weeds stay away.

Why it matters
Why driveways deteriorate
- 01
Jointing sand washes out over the years, and weeds and moss move into the gaps.
- 02
Moss and algae make the surface slippery — a real hazard on a sloping drive in winter.
- 03
Oil, tyre marks and leaf tannin stains soak into unsealed surfaces.
- 04
Once the surface is dirty it holds more moisture, so growth accelerates every year.

How we do it
Our driveways process
- 01
Prepare
Cars moved, weeds and moss pre-treated, drains protected and the surface pre-wetted.
- 02
Surface clean
A rotary surface cleaner lifts dirt and growth evenly across the drive with no striping, followed by lance work on edges.
- 03
Treat stains
Oil, rust and tannin marks are treated with the appropriate remover.
- 04
Re-sand and finish
Joints are refilled with kiln-dried sand and compacted. Sealing follows on a dry day if chosen.
State-of-the-art equipment
The kit that makes it safe and thorough
Commercial pressure washer
High flow for fast, thorough cleaning with the pressure matched to the surface.
Rotary surface cleaner
Twin spinning jets under a hood give a uniform finish and keep spray and debris contained.
Kiln-dried sand and compactor
Restores the joint sand that stabilises block paving.
Smartseal sealers
Applied by a registered installer to protect the finished surface.
Benefits
What driveways does for your property
Instant transformation
The most dramatic before-and-after of any exterior clean.
Safer surface
Removes the slippery moss and algae layer.
Stops weeds
Re-sanding and sealing make it much harder for weeds to get established.
Adds value
A clean, sealed drive makes a strong first impression on viewings.
Honest expectations. We will always tell you before we start if a surface has damage that cleaning cannot fix — cracked tiles, failed pointing, UV-yellowed plastic — so there are no surprises on the day.
FAQs
Driveways questions
Not when done correctly. We use a rotary cleaner rather than a bare lance so the pressure is spread and the blocks are not pitted, then re-sand so the paving stays stable.
