About this service

Blocked gutters are the quiet cause of some of the most expensive problems a house can have: damp patches on internal walls, rotten fascias, stained render and, in a wet Hampshire winter, water pouring straight over the edge onto your foundations.

We clear gutters with a high-reach vacuum system operated from the ground, which means no ladders against your gutters and no one walking on your conservatory roof. A camera on the pole lets us inspect every run before and after, and we show you the footage.

Part of Roof & Gutters. Roof moss removal, gutter clearing and fascia cleaning carried out from the ground or with proper access equipment — never by blasting a roof with a pressure washer.

Why it matters

What a blocked gutter does to a house

  • 01

Overflowing water saturates the wall below and shows up inside as damp and peeling paint.

  • 02

Standing water and wet leaves add weight that pulls brackets loose and warps uPVC gutters.

  • 03

Blocked downpipes back up into the gutter and freeze in winter, splitting joints.

  • 04

Moss and silt provide a seedbed for weeds and even small trees growing out of the gutter.

How we do it

Our gutter clearing process

  1. 01

    Camera inspection

A wireless camera on the pole shows us exactly where the blockages are, including behind the gutter guards.

  2. 02

    Vacuum clear

Carbon-fibre poles reach up to four storeys from the ground. Debris is drawn straight into the vacuum drum, not scattered on your drive.

  3. 03

    Downpipe check

We confirm water can drain at each outlet and clear the top of the downpipe if it is packed.

  4. 04

    Show and tell

A final camera pass confirms every run is clear. You get the photos, and we tell you about any damage we noticed.

State-of-the-art equipment

The kit that makes it safe and thorough

Professional equipment is only half of it — knowing which tool not to use on a surface is the other half.
  • High-reach gutter vacuum

Industrial wet-and-dry vacuum with lightweight carbon poles for three- and four-storey properties.

  • Wireless inspection camera

Live view of the gutter interior on a screen at ground level, with recorded stills for your records.

  • Ladders and access equipment

Used only where the vacuum genuinely cannot reach — always footed and secured.

Benefits

What gutter clearing does for your property

  • No ladders on the gutter

Ground-based vacuuming avoids bent gutters and the risk that comes with working at height.

  • Proof of work

Camera footage before and after means you never have to take our word for it.

  • Prevents damp

Water goes down the pipe, not down your wall.

  • Quick and tidy

Most homes are done in a couple of hours with no mess left behind.

Honest expectations. We will always tell you before we start if a surface has damage that cleaning cannot fix — cracked tiles, failed pointing, UV-yellowed plastic — so there are no surprises on the day.

Gutter Clearing questions

The things customers ask us most about this service.
General FAQs

Once a year is right for most homes, usually after the autumn leaf fall. Properties surrounded by trees, or with mossy roofs, often need a spring visit as well.
